WOMENS PHOTOGRAPHY RETREAT
Five days and four nights of photography education, connecting with others, inspiring your higher creative self, and finding your voice as an artist.
WHO THIS IS FOR: Women photographers who are ready to push their creative boundaries and skills in photography.

- in a creative rut looking for excitement in your photography
- wanting to have a better understanding of your camera’s capabilities and may even fear the unknown parts of technology (hello flash!)
- your editing takes forever and doesn’t look the way you want it to
- you may be spinning your wheels with a vision of where you want to be with your art and business but can’t figure out how to get there
- letting your fear hold you back from your true potential

WHAT – 5 day Photography Retreat for Women
WHEN – April 28th-2nd, 2023
WHERE – Linden Hill’s Musser Mansion in Little Falls, Minnesota
WHAT’S INCLUDED – 4 nights lodging at the mansion. Catered meals, beverages, and snacks.
*Please note that all the rooms are shared lodging, you will have your own bed but there are two to three beds per room. The rooms themselves are very spacious though. Room and roommate requests are honored when possible.
COST – $3295
Special – Bring a girlfriend and you both receive $295 off the price!
GROUP SIZE – 19 students, 3 instructors.
EXPERIENCE – This workshop is best suited for those that know how to shoot in manual or aperture priority mode and have a good understanding of the exposure triangle.
GEAR – DSLR or mirrorless camera, tripod, laptop for editing sessions
TRAVEL – Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport is the closest airport to the mansion. It is about a 2-hour drive from the airport.
REGISTRATION: Will open on June 16th at 9 AM CST. Please email Beth at: beth@intothewildwego.photography to secure your spot. Emails will be answered in the order they are recieved.
DEPOSIT: $1000 is required to register for the workshop. Deposits will be taken via Zelle or personal check without fees. If you prefer Venmo we can do that with a 3% fee.
The remaining balance is due within 60 days of the retreat.

NEW FOR 2023! Add an extra night to the retreat! We found many people ended up flying in the day before the retreat last year in order to ensure they made it there at check-in time (2-3PM). This year you can book an extra night at the mansion!
COST: $250
WHAT IT INCLUDES: A night stay at the mansion on Thursday the 27th and 3 meals. PLUS an opportunity for a portfolio or website review with Jeannine or Beth!!!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
JEANNINE POHL
Jeannine has photographed over 550 weddings since 2007. Her weddings have been featured online and print media locally and nationally including The Today’s Show, Yahoo, Minnesota Bride, Every Last Detail to name a few. Jeannine’s heart found photography as a 4-H’er growing up in Northern Minnesota. She studied photo-journalism at Winona State and worked retail management while she built her wedding photography business. Finally, in 2012, she made the full-time commitment to photography. Jeannine’s savvy business skills have helped her create a sustainable business. As a leader in the industry, she enjoys mentoring and hosts small business workshops at her St Paul portrait studio. She is active in the local Twin Cities Professional Photographer’s Association, Twin Cities Wedding and Event Professionals and volunteers regularly in her community. Jeannine has been recognized by her peers, online directories, and local magazines every year since 2015.
MEG LOEKS
Meg lives in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with her husband and four young children. She is a children’s fine art and portrait photographer whose work centers around nostalgia. In-between photographing her family, she teaches several online workshops throughout the year. Meg is a mentor and instructor at Clickin Moms, a SIGMA Ambassador and Profoto Legend of Light. She is also a volunteer photographer for The Gold Hope Project, a nonprofit organization which gifts families battling pediatric cancer a free photo session. Meg’s work has been featured in publications such as Click Magazine, National Geographic Your Shot, Shutter Magazine, Adorama, This Detailed Life Magazine, and more.
BETH MANCUSO
Beth is a Minnesota-based portrait and landscape photographer. Beth ran a successful portrait business for over ten years. In that time she photographed countless families and seniors. Beth’s portrait work has been featured by Click Magazine, Black and White Mag, My Modern Met, Lensbaby, and more. In 2020, Beth closed her portrait business to focus on her passion for teaching and empowering female photographers. Now Beth is living her dream of traveling and teaching photography. In 2020 she was on the National Geographic Channel on the show Assignment Inspiration. She is also an official Nat Geo YourShot Photographer. Her landscape work has been featured by ABC News, Sony, Tokina, Outdoor Photographer, Tamron, Midwest Living, Minnesota Monthly, and more. Beth is a big believer in community over competition. She gives back to the community by running Minnesota Women Photographers through which she hosts regular meetups and encourages, teaches, and mentors other female photographers.
